Welcome
Lodge Commonwealth of Australia was consecrated in Canberra, on Saturday, 7 December, 1929. It is Canberra’s third oldest lodge, consecrated after both Lodge Canberra No. 465 and Lodge Capitol No. 612.
Our masonic lodge becomes a shared interest amongst the members of our close community. There are a number of other lodges in Canberra which make the wider Canberra Masonic community. Currently, the more active members of our group show a deeper interest in some of the hidden aspects of the craft, research and a deeper investigation into what is means to be a Freemason.
The United Grand Lodge of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory is our governing body.
Our Meetings
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month except January and December. Our Installation is on the first Saturday of December.
Our Masonic Centre is the Canberra Masonic Centre at 3 Mountevans Street, MAWSON ACT 2607.
We tyle at 7:00pm. (Our Installation meetings generally tyle earlier, please contact us if you would like to know the tyling time, typically mid to late afternoon)
